Sims – Next Generation

I have an addiction to the game called Sims. StVina is the matchmaker. She lent me a few of her Sims CD game (including about 3 or 4 expansion packs) and voila!, i was transfered into a new realm. Since then, I can’t stop playing. I have all copies of all Sims 1 expansion packs (no need to say what kind of copy, though  )

I played Sims 2 version up until Sims 2: Season expansion pack. But after that, i am too busy to play this heavily-time-consuming game, and my PC start to warn me that she cannot handle anymore expansion that she already have now in there. Besides, in someway that i cant explain, the last two expansions do not intrigue me as the previous ones.

But, today, i accidently saw a link with “Sims 3″ inscription. I thought it was a false link, that the author mis-type it. So I googled it. Turn out it really exist! Sims 3 really will be released! And the fun thing is, Sims now can walk around their city. Not just hopping from one site to another, but actually walking! Another cool thing is the graphic for “Create a Sims” is smoother, so we can add many details and make the look even closer to what we expected. One thing that i still am not sure of is about the matching pattern of the furnitures and stuffs. The screen shot shows that we can match the pattern of the lamp, the wallpaper, the couch and many other. I assume that in Sims 3 we will be given a blank (or half blank) color stuff and than we can chose what pattern to apply. If it is so… then it will be a nice addition. Ambiance of the house can be much stronger.

Whatever it will be, I look forward it. But one thing still bugging me though. Is this mean that i should buy a new set of PC??? Coz it’s clear that my PC wont run this game smoothly :)

So, check this out :)

  1. You will probably need a modern system to “truly” enjoy the next version of Sims. All games have minimum requirements and recommended requirements. If you don’t meet any of the “recommended” requirements, you won’t be able to enjoy the game to it’s fullest. Here is the real question. Look at the games you have now (Sims 2 and expansion packs). Minus the ability to walk through the neighborhood, some animations, and possibly new interactions; will Sims 3 offer you anything new? They seem to have taken the best of the Sims 2 world and combined it into one product with a face lift.
